Kitchen Remodel & Facelift

This project featured an older home in Arlington, Virginia. The kitchen was small and suffered from partial updates made by various owners over the years, which made it look out of place in this charming home. The owner wanted to avoid the cost and time required for a full kitchen remodel. The house was to be placed on the market in three weeks.

The HandyMensch recommended the following:

1. Replace the outdated cabinet doors and hardware with more modern selections. Our cabinetry expert measured each cabinet and custom ordered replacements.
2. Replace wooden drawer slides with smooth sliding versions – Prospective home buyers always like to check the operation of drawers in a kitchen!
3. Select colors that highlight the cabinets and make the room feel light and airy.
4. Install new countertops and reposition the stove for a better and safer fit.
5. Install new, more modern, lighting.
